Creative Ladies Get Together

This time I lead the craft that we do each time we celebrate the birthdays during that time. Usually we would have a pot luck, birthday cake and ice cream. Because of Covid, we decided, once more, to have a zoom get together.  We've been so lucky that everyone has shared a craft over the years. It has been a while since I had done it and one morning I thought of this; A patchwork card.

Summer Workshop for Friends of Calligraphy with Sharon Zeugin 2021

Wonderful workshop with Sharon who gave us tons of ideas to meld sketching in Letters, Lines and Images. Here are some of my attempts to finish our papers into an accordian book.

Front cover made with my botanical print paper. wrapped with Amate paper strip

After a quick handwriting exercise, my attempt at my own letterforms.

The first page of the book with a double image attempt. First using a folded cola pen and then a sketch with a fine point marker and washed with watercolor.

One of the pages using walnut ink, acrylic orange ink, black pen and collaged with some asian wrapping papers and a web used from a grocery store potato bag....all on gesso...left is the front of the book.

Penwag presentation and button necklace workshop

So kind of Penwag, Peninsula Wearable Arts Guild, to invite me to give a presentation on my journey to become an artist. Michelle Paganini is the program chair and asked that I teach my button necklace class. I was fortunate to have good techical help from Kevin Roche, Andrew Trembly and George Paganini. This was a Zoom event. Here are some photos of necklaces participants have sent me. They did a wonderful job.
