With John Muir Laws of the Nature Sketching group and Laurie Wigham of SF sketchers meetup group, we headed to Ring Mountain in Corte Madera on a beautiful May day.

| This is the Soap Plant that is growing in abundance all over the mountain. None of the flowers were in bloom. The Miwok Indians used it to make soap, as a colorant and a stupifying agent. |

The Soap plant finally begins to bloom in the afternoon. Here is one opened waiting for pollination.
